Restaurants Review, Bengaluru.

Been to couple places and will keep updating this link on restaurants in Bengaluru which serve high quality food at a reasonable cost. This is my view and I will post only stuff I liked. So, people take a hike if you dont agree with me.

1> Mavalli is a nice place no doubt. I liked the idli and dosa here. Could not taste the lunch though. Wait times are high and is crowded. Also, parking is difficult.
MTR is open Tuesday to Sunday 6:30am-noon, 12:30-2:30pm, and 7:30-9pm. It is closed on Mondays.Mavalli Tiffin Rooms (MTR)#11, Lalbagh Road ,BANGALORE.

2> Maharajah, Koramangala. -- Recommend the lunch here and it costs Rs 75. Unlimited poori's to start off and then some decent vegetable curry, sambar, rasam, curd, rice, unlimited ghee, a sweet and a banana. I thought it was OK. Good food. The only thing that sucks is the table cloths. Requires a little more care on the cleanliness part. Supposed to be Andhra style food.

3> Chicklet - Nice chicken for friday drink and snacks. Have not tasted the biryani yet. The Barra Chicken is good (Available only in Indiranagar). All others dishes are so so. The afghani and tandoor chicken are reasonable. They have 1 in Indiranagar and Tippasandra main road. Neat place. Small and tidy. Mostly take outs. Full chicken costs around ~ 200 to 290.

4> Little Italy, 100 ft road, Indira Nagar - Nice place, ambience is good but this place is expensive. Pastas, lots of varieties. If your company or friend is picking the tab - go here. The quantity is not what I liked. You will feel hungry unless you spend close to Rs.750 a person.

5> Hyderabad Biryani, Old Airport Road. - Biryani is good here. Rs ~130. Spicy and yummy. Good part is that they use biryani rice. Maybe a bit too spicy for some.

Still trying to find a good chinese joint like Nan King in Hyderabad. Also, coorgi, bengali, bihari, andhra, goan, kerala, tamil and kannada food places.
